Founder & Bilingual Violin Teacher

Maria is a dedicated and highly experienced violin educator with over 15 years of international teaching experience. Her musical journey began at the early age of 4, when she started studying the violin under the guidance of Mrs. Lizette Megardatchian. Maria trained continuously for 14 years, developing a strong classical foundation before graduating from The Conservatoire de Musique d’Alexandrie. She has worked with leading British schools and cultural centers, and has performed as a member of several orchestras, experiences that shape her well-rounded, performance-driven and globally informed approach to teaching.
This early and immersive training shaped her deep respect for disciplined technique, musical sensitivity, and expressive performance values that remain at the heart of her teaching today.
Maria believes that teaching is about more than learning notes and bowing; it’s about building confidence, focus, creativity, and a lifelong love for music. She combines classical pedagogy with modern, student-centered methods, including the Suzuki philosophy, to meet each student at their level and guide them forward with clarity and encouragement.
Every student receives individualized attention, structured lesson plans, and clear musical goals. Maria believes that with the right guidance and consistency, every student can succeed.
Maria specializes in working with children from their very first lessons. Using age-appropriate methods and a warm, nurturing approach, she helps young students develop proper posture, listening skills, rhythm, and tone, all while keeping lessons engaging and positive.
Parents are active partners in the learning process. Maria provides regular feedback, progress updates, and guidance on home practice, ensuring each child feels supported both in the studio and at home.
At Fermata Violin Studio, children grow not only as musicians, but as confident, disciplined individuals.
